“Que no ha encontrado la calma . . .”
En Paseo de la Reforma
de esta Ciudad Capital
donde todo se transforma
tuvo un espacio vital.
Cien años cumplió de vida
la palmera en su glorieta
fue por siempre muy querida
siendo alta, esbelta y coqueta.
Tanta belleza empalaga
reza un adagio certero,
dicen que una “mala plaga”
le hizo daño al cocotero.
Fue perdiendo excelsitud
todo su garbo la palma
por la inmensa ineptitud
del “gobierno” vil sin alma.
No le cuidó su corona
ni sus hojas, ni su tronco,
la vida se desmorona
solo quedó un hoyo bronco.
Ya no tendrán que podarla,
otro árbol aún mozalbete
ahí plantaron pa’ olvidarla
un muy imberbe ahuehuete.
Así, pena la palmera
muerta en raíces y encima
el sabinito por fuera
llora, sufre, se sublima.
Pasmado está como en trauma,
no me lo van a creer,
el ánima de la palma
no lo deja bien crecer.
